We have competed in District and County competitions this year. Both Years 8 and 10 reached County Plate finals with Year 8 finishing 4th (5 points behind the winners) and Year 10 finishing 3rd.

At District level we have had a large amount of success. Year 10 finished 7th with bronze medals for Nathan Hossen in 400m, Tom Carmichael in high jump, Ben Kelly in 800m and Harvey Smith in discus.

Year 9 were District Champions with bronze medals for Tom Hughes in javelin, Billy Thomson in shot put and Louis Rees in 300m. There were silver medals for Archie Peets in 1500m, Ethan McGrory in long jump, Josh Clarke in triple jump and Travis Rach in high jump and Alex Kouda in hurdles. Gold medals for Jermaine Ehigiator in discus and the Year 9 relay team.

Year 8 finished 6th with bronze medals for Matthew Williams in hurdles, silver for Matteo Douglas in 300m, Alfie Rowlands in discus and a gold medal for Matthew Williams in javelin.

Year 7 were District Champions with bronze medals for Charlie Taylor in 800m, Owen Phillips in shot put, Dominic Ward in high jump, Elliot Johnson in 1500m, Ben Collison in discus and the relay team. Gold medals for Harrison Smith in hurdles and Harrison Shaw in 100m and the long jump.

Senior boys finished 3rd in their district championship and Senior girls finished 4th.

Overall, with all the boys results combined, we finished 2nd, 4 1/2 points behind the winners.

This year’s second record was broken by Harrison Smith, Year 7, in hurdles in 11.91m and pole vault 1.40m. Elliott Johnson, Year 7, 1500m in 4 min 48s. Alfie Rowlands, Year 8, discus 31.54m. Matthew Williams, Year 8, javelin 35.18m. Louis Rees, Year 9, 300m in 40.06 seconds and Tom Carmichael, Year 10, high jump 1.67m.
