Oli Mills Foundation

As the summer rolls in and we approach 6 months into our 2017 fundraising efforts, we build up to our very first live, stand-up comedy night at the Watling Street Brewery on Saturday 3rd June.

We’ve worked with one of the best talent bookers around and although our first headline act seemed to forget the purpose of the evening and took a higher paid booking elsewhere, we have replaced him with a big name and can’t wait for the evening. The attached flyer gives more details about the line up and we also have MC Emmanuel Sonubi, who is the best of the lot at the Comedy Store. I’ve personally seen Rick Kiesewetter and he’s brilliant.

The generosity of our host and our partners for the evening have enabled to us to put this night on. Included within the £30 ticket price is free beer and prosecco until 22.15 and pizza to soak it up – great value for everyone involved. Our comedy night partners, Craftys Beer Shop in Letchworth & TC Carpentry Contractors Ltd from St Albans have funded the comedians for the evening, allowing us to donate all ticket sales directly to Teenage Cancer Trust. We’ve had a great start to the year fundraising wise, but our target of £50,000 remains a challenging one and this night will go some way in helping us reach it! All proceeds this year go towards the Teenage Cancer Trust Education & Awareness Appeal which does fantastic work in raising awareness of cancer in secondary schools and beyond. Cancer is the biggest non-accidental cause of death in teenagers so this is hugely significant work.

Tickets for the event can be bought by donating £30 to the below Just Giving page and leaving the names of any guests in the comments section so we can keep a track of the guest list.
