The aim for Geography at Verulam is to create a full package of learning from year 7 right through to year 13. We in the department have a tag line of

We don’t just teach Geography, we create Geographers.

It is this vision, which is the ethos of our curriculum planning. We have aimed to look at the end goal of A-Level Geography and work backwards. This ensures that all students are prepared for the next step forward. This has been a successful ethos and we are proud to say that we have some of the largest A-Level numbers.

Thus throughout the Lessons from 7-13 we are focusing of the 13 key concepts. They are as follows: Causality, Systems, feedback, inequality, identity, globalisation, interdependence, mitigation and adaption, sustainability, risk, resilience, thresholds
